AI, neo-brutalism and interdisciplinary design - Tigers on Graphics in 2023.
The past 12 months have seen changes not only in trends and technologies used in graphics, but also a number of changes, innovations and new skills on board Tigers Graphic Studio.
2022 through the eyes of the Tigers - new tools, new skills, new services.
2022 has seen rapid development and a huge jump in the popularity of tools such as Figma and Webflow, which make web design even easier. At the graphic design studio, we have also set our sights on developing our skills in these tools. By taking the Digital Designer course from Design Practice, our specialists acquired skills that allowed them to develop the UI Design service in the graphics studio. In 2022, we completed more than 10 websites for our clients, while we plan to prepare many more in 2023!
InTigers, we spent 2022 not only developing websites, but also large digital and offline campaigns, developing skills in designing visual identities in cooperation with the Strategic Department, and expanding our portfolio of services.
We have very ambitious goals set for 2023, and I know that nothing will stop us from proving them!
At the moment, the graphic studio is preparing min:
- Visual Identities,
- Social media post templates,
- Designs for print materials, from flyers to large-format billboards,
- Creatives for banner campaigns,
- E-book projects,
- Stickers and filters on Instagram/TikTok,
- Newsletters and mailings,
- Infographics,
- Photo Retouching,
And also: graphic audits, research and recommendations.🐯 learn more about Tigers graphic studio services
And how do we recall 2022 from the Studio's perspective?
Here, let's give the floor to the Tigers, who make sure every day that the graphic services we provide are of the highest possible level. Meet the perspective of Magda Ambroziak, Senior Graphic Designer and Junior Team Leader, and Graphic Designers from our studio - Klaudia Borowiec, Kamil Kalisztan and Tom Kozlowski.
The most interesting change in graphic design in the past year? AI, neo-brutalism and interdisciplinary design.
"I think it is impossible to talk about 2022 in the context of graphics without mentioning the rapidly developing artificial intelligence. The second half of last year was actually an endless discussion about the ethics of visual communication created by AI tools. Despite the extreme opinions, there is no doubt that it is an extremely helpful tool especially for creative processes and the creation of graphics that cannot be found in any stock photos."
- Magda Ambroziak, Senior Graphic Designer & Junior Team Leader
"Artificial intelligence! What the bots that generate 'images' from pictures are doing is a masterpiece. I look forward to the development of these tools and the results of more and more daring artificial concepts that will be hosted on our screens more and more often."
- Tomasz Kozlowski, Graphic Designer
"For me, one of the most interesting trends in web design that has clarified over 2022 is neo-brutalist typography. I make no secret of the fact that I really like the style in which text plays the main role. Big raw headlines and chunky fonts that create a timeless yet minimalist composition. I hope this trend stays with us for a long time 😊"
- Kamil Kalisztan, Graphic Designer
"Abstracting from the aforementioned AI I have noticed quite a trend of interdisciplinary design - I have a feeling that the industry is maturing and the boundaries between "illustrators", "collage artists", "poster artists" etc. are starting to blur a bit. - just everyone is simply creating authorial art in the way that works best for him/her at the time. I really like this departure from convention in favor of greater creative freedom."
- Klaudia Borowiec, Graphic Designer
Favorite creations of 2022 - from communication concepts to visual identities to product graphics!
Not the creation itself, but the whole concept of communication for Tigers United 4. This was my second approach to creating key visuals for this unique conference organized by Tigers. While creating the on-going communication for Tigers on social media channels, it was hard for me to go beyond the framework of the imposed visual communication and at the same time, without going too far beyond it, to come up with something new. I based the visuale of Tigers United 4 primarily on the shape of the letter "T" from our logo, referring to the T-shaped model on which our specialists base their skills. The visual communication of this event stood out on the Tigers wall and and the TU4 ads attracted the attention of new users, even those who did not know Tigers before. The creations for the event were repeatedly praised in surveys after Tigers United 4.This is no small success of last year, especially since there was a lot of visual material and maintaining consistency was often very difficult.
- Magda Ambroziak, Senior Graphic Designer & Junior Team Leader
I havemany of these, but the one I had a particularly pleasant time working on was the RMT I prepared for OlimpStore.pl. I like product creations because I can demonstrate creative product visualization with them. Minimalist background, playing with chiaroscuro and the product in the lead role. Viva Sauce ZERO!
- Kamil Kalisztan, Graphic Designer
By farthe coolest and most interesting project of the past year was creating a visual identity system for a new brand (stay tuned - we'll be sharing the results soon!). It was one of the biggest challenges on my career path as a graphic designer, and I think I managed to meet it. "Trust the process" is definitely the keynote that rumbles in my head every time I retrospectively analyze the work on this project. I have never doubted this statement, but now I feel that on future projects I will be even calmer and more confident in the end result, thanks to the fact that I just completely trust the process as well - trust myself!
- Klaudia Borowiec, Graphic Designer
I can'tpick a favorite creation, but I can point to a client for whom working in 2022 was a pure pleasure. The creations that came out for Paczking.pl and DHL were gold - lots of creative concepts, references to, among others, Lumberjack Burger or Kevin Sam at Home allowed us to create great-looking advertising creations that garnered hundreds of likes on Facebook.
- Tom Kozlowski, Graphic Designer
🐯 Meet the Tiger case study: how we implemented an outdoor campaign for BeActive?
What will 2023 bring?
From the studio's perspective - I'm looking forward to new website designs and corporate identities. I see great potential here for developing the business line of the Creative department at Tigers and expanding the skills of the specialists in the graphic design studio. The second topic that fascinates me is the possibilities of using artificial intelligence in our daily work - I'm very curious about where this new and still almost undiscovered tool can take us in the next year. I know it's going to be a very inspiring and creative time, which the studio's Tigers are looking forward to with anticipation and excitement!
